What is the MediaMosa Foundation?
The MediaMosa Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the MediaMosa Project. The Foundation gratefully accepts donations from individuals and businesses, using them to fund projects which further the development of MediaMosa. In addition, the Foundation can represent the MediaMosa Project in executing contracts, license agreements, and other legal arrangements which require a recognized legal entity. The MediaMosa Foundation is entirely supported by donations.
What can I expect from the MediaMosa Foundation?
The MediaMosa Foundation will support both the development and the popularization of MediaMosa. The core activities of the MediaMosa Foundation are:
- to guarantee the future of MediaMosa
- to represent the interest of its users
- to promote the use of MediaMosa
- to bring together the international community
- to facilitate the continued development of the platform
How is the MediaMosa Foundation organised?
The MediaMosa Foundation is lead by the MediaMosa Foundation Board. The role of the Foundation Board is to ensure that the MediaMosa community is behaving and governing itself in a manner that is consistent with the objectives of making MediaMosa a successful open source project.
Development and roadmaps are managed by a group termed a Member Board. This group determines the general direction of the project and its releases. This includes operational, legal and procedural oversight on MediaMosa releases.
MediaMosa is a meritocracy on contribution and the members of the Member Board represent those who have made the most substantial and long term contributions to MediaMosa in the form of development, deployment, testing, documentation and otherwise.
